Eid Gift Guide - Top picks for him, her and kids under £30

I tried to do all my Eid shopping before Dhul Hijjah started and so spent ALOT of time browsing online trying to find great gifts for family. There are loads of good deals about and lots of things jumped out as me as quality bargains. I wanted to share the love and so have included the best ones I found that were under £30 and can  be delivered fairly sharpish if you need them by Friday. Check them out and happy shopping!

For Her

Burberry Brit Rhythm For Her EDT, 90ml, £24.95, Amazon UK
Perfume gift sets are lovely to receive but they often have the smallest bottles of perfumes. I'd rather forsake a nice box and some shower gel for more millage. This Burberry perfume is such a bargain for a decent size 90ml bottle. It's usually £69 but it's marked down to £24.95 on Amazon. Prime Delivery is available if you want it quickly. I know perfumes can be a little hit and miss if you don't know the person's tastes too well, but with this scent's balanced floral and woody notes it's a general crowd pleaser.

Artichoke tealight candle holder, £10, Dunelm Mill
A great looking tealight holder, which doubles up as a lovely decorative accessory. The neutral colourway means it can fit with any decor. It has great reviews on the Dunelm site, with many commenting on the high quality and how it looks more expensive than it is. As an add on, you could buy some nicer than your average scented tea lights from the White Company. They have Seychelles and Lime and Bay, for £15, both sold in a set of 12 and the Seville tealights, which are currently on offer for £14 for a set of 16.

Oxford denim apron with leather straps, £9.99, Amazon
A perfect gift for the keen cook, this trendy combination of denim and leather will keep the foodie in your family looking good while experimenting in the kitchen. You can get matching tea towels, oven gloves and more with this.

For Him

Hugo Iced EDT spray, 125ml, £29.95, Fragrance Direct
A cool, refreshing fragrance perfect for the summer, whenever it decides to start. You get a whopping 125ml for under £30 - not bad at all for a designer fragrance. There is the 75ml version available but it's only £5 cheaper. Fragrance Direct is a great website for bagging perfume bargains and this is no exception. It's free delivery over £25 and you can get an extra 10 per cent off as well when you spend over £20.You can get it gift wrapped too.

Personalised pen set with leather case, £23.49, Amazon
Last year Parker Pen brought back their jotter pens. Solid, reliable and affordable, the brushed steel finish makes them look smart and nice to give as a gift. The laser engraving and the leather pouch makes it that bit more special and a perfect gift for him. You can choose any two from ballpoint pen, fountain pen and pencil.

Retro games console, £20.99, Amazon
Kids and grown ups will love this dinky little console packed full of old school games popular in the 80s and 90s. It comes with a second controller for multi player action and can be hooked up to the TV too.

For Kids

Ravensburger Children's World 3D Puzzle, £14.99, Smyths Toys
I love giving presents that do more than one thing. It feels like you're getting more value for money.  This 3D puzzle is great because it can be put together by eye or using the numbers printed on the back and once completed it can be displayed and rotated on the stand which comes included. The puzzle pieces also contain pictures of animals that can be found in the different countries.I would have loved this when I was 7. I would love to have this now! Haha. I think this is a great gift for any curious kid around the 7+ age.  It is available on Amazon but it's more expensive (£19.97). Smyths are pretty quick with delivery. I received mine (not for me, for my nephew!) two days after ordering. And you only have to spend £19 to get free delivery. Good old Smyths!

Squirrel Play Wooden Train Set, £8, Smyths Toys
I did a double take when I saw the price of this. A great gift for a transport mad pre-schooler, this decent sized train set is a fraction of the price of other big name brands. It comes with train, track and accessories, so perfect to play as is. Some reviews say it is compatible with other wooden track brands so could also could be used as an extension set.

Quran Cube Quran and Dua Pillow, £29.95, Quran Cube
We got this for our little one last Eid upon recommendation from my cousin and I have been recommending it to everyone ever since. This is a great night time companion for young children learning their first dhikr and short surahs from the Quran. It doubles up as a night light, which I think is on the bright side, but it automatically switches off after a while and it also has two volume settings. It contains Surahs Fatihah, Yaseen, Rahman, Mulk, the last two ayahs of Surah Bakarah, the three Quls, Ayat ul Kursi. It also has the dua for waking up and sleeping and some nasheeds on Allah's name, the alphabet and more. It comes in yellow, blue and pink and you can get it personalised for an extra cost. A great gift.
